This site is extremely prominent in the heart of the town; the former supermarket on the site is currently unoccupied. It is recognised that this site is important to the regeneration of the Urban Town Centre and will contribute positively to the streetscape and bring vibrant uses to this part of the town centre.
The site also provides an opportunity for backland development on adjoining sites. The development of this site presents an opportunity to work with adjoining landowners as part of a comprehensive re-development of the backlands area.
The Williams Waller site is located south of the Tesco site adjacent to OPW owned land. The site comprises a number of shed buildings in a state of dilapidation. This site presents an opportunity for the re-development of backland areas and to work with adjoining landowners for a comprehensive development of this quadrant of the town centre.
